Product Reviews

Name: Review:
After months of research and reading through numerous reviews, I finally made my decision on this printer's compatibility with Macs. The wireless setup process was relatively straightforward, even though the quick set up sheet had me download the full drivers and software from the Brother website in March 2015. A single USB cable proved to be the most convenient option for establishing a reliable wireless connection.

The process of getting started with this printer required some trial and error, particularly when it came to configuring its deep sleep mode. To resolve this issue, I downloaded the firmware tool from the website (June 2016 version), which helped me adjust the settings accordingly. It's essential to download any relevant driver updates as well.

I have been using this printer for a few weeks now, and I've noticed that it works seamlessly with my mobile device, printing documents at optimal quality using toner save and 600 dpi settings. Printing from Microsoft Word has proven particularly useful, saving me time on toner replenishment. However, the high-quality setting may not be suitable for all types of images or PDFs.

The printing speed is satisfactory, and the double-sided feature is a significant advantage when working with documents. Unfortunately, navigating the menus within this printer can be a bit frustrating at times, particularly when trying to find specific settings. Perhaps the user interface could benefit from some tweaks to make it easier for users like myself to get around.

Overall, I am pleased with my decision to purchase this printer and its performance in various aspects of printing tasks.

I have searched for replacement drum units and found that TN-2355/2300 are available from reputable suppliers, while TN-2310/2320 are commonly used and DN-2300 is not held by UK stockists. In my research, I discovered some decent quality cheap compatibles on eBay from a UK company ZEB, which can be a viable alternative to OEM toner.

One of the standout features of this printer is its compatibility with older operating systems like XP/Win 7, which means I can use drivers that are available for both ancient and modern models. The printer's paper handling system in autoduplex mode is truly exceptional, even when printing on high-quality 100gsm stock.

I've noticed a small issue with jamming occasionally - after clearing the back flap, it would stop working and flag an error before restarting. However, this has not happened too often, so I'm hopeful that my printer will continue to function flawlessly.

The print quality is truly impressive, with minimal paper curl and no lingering ozone smell. It's also noticeably faster than our old Kyocera printer and quieter in operation. Overall, I've been very pleased with the performance of this machine.

I was disappointed with my Wireless printing experience overall. The initial setup process was seamless, but unfortunately, this came to an abrupt end within hours as the connection broke. Despite spending countless hours trying to troubleshoot and resolve the issue, I received automated responses from Brother that offered little guidance. It seems like they're more interested in providing general tips rather than addressing my specific problem.

I had been a loyal customer of Brother printers for years, relying on them without issue, until this latest purchase. However, since switching to Wireless printing, I've encountered an unexpected obstacle: no device cable included with the printer box. To make matters worse, Brother's support team provided me with generic advice that didn't address my unique situation.

The process of reinstalling and uninstalling the Wireless connection took too long; in fact, it became so frustrating that I considered sticking with my old wired connections instead. Given my previous positive experiences with Brother printers, this latest failure has left a sour taste.
