Black and nickel, Tessa 28mm, f8 uncoated wide angle lens. The serial number suggests last prewar, 1939, batch from Carl Zeiss Jena. Compatible with Contax i,ii and iii rangefinder series. There is an internal bayonet. Focussing is achieved by setting subject distance on lens. It is not linked to focus wheel on body. Adapter needed for leica M- mount. Condition as shown- black paint peeled at rear. Aperture ring and focus wheel both function. No gross damage to lens with magnifier. KMZ viewfinder ,russian made approx 1962, included.
