Here we have a Sony PRS - 505, it was in the box new sealed when I got it recently never used as you can see the device is mint and still has the original memory card blanks and everything that was included in the box with the inserts. being near 20 years old the battery wasn’t holding a charge. New battery fitted but now the down arrow feels stiff and doesn’t work so do a few other buttons. I think it just needs sliding back out and put back in properly but I don’t want to take it apart again myself. Sold as is, if it doesn’t sell then I’ll take it apart and get it fixed.
