You will need to setup a manual fan curve from your motherboard linked to the GPU temperature otherwise the card will overheat and shut down. IF YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DO THAT DO NOT BUY THIS. I have used it this way for a while and not had any issues with it as long as a fan curve is correctly setup.
